The competition entitled “Is the kitchen Design?” The first competition for cooking that has not yet taken place. has reached the final stages.
The will and the desire to open and give opportunities to planners, architects, and designers, none excluded, are the stimuli that push Forma to promote various initiatives, including this one.
To date, unfortunately, with the changes and blocks imposed by the pandemic, the publication of the results and the awarding of the winners has been postponed.
The uncertainty given by the situation makes it impossible to communicate and predict when and how this will happen.
The original idea was to organize the proclamation and awarding of the winners during the Genoa Design Week (5 -9 May 2021) obviously postponed date.
On that occasion, the selected projects would be exhibited in an exhibition-event organized ad hoc to coincide with the event and subsequently the results of the competition would be published on the website www.spaziogiustiniani.com.
However, waiting to be able to clarify and understand how to develop this initiative with different profiles, the study and the project remains and the work continues.
The jury, presented in the previous article of our Magazine, called to evaluate the competing projects, made a first selection of the projects presented.
The projects selected, in purely random order, are listed below.
At the discretion of the jury, the winning projects may be set up with a special prize and put into production with the consequent display and marketing of the kitchen at the Spazio Giustiniani showroom.
As already mentioned, three of them will be the official winners of this competition which unfortunately finds many difficulties and blocks in the execution due to the pandemic, but despite the impediments it does not intend to be the only one, indeed, in the Forma projects this is only the first of a long series.
