Il radicale intervento è iniziato parallelamente al lavoro di ristrutturazione della prestigiosa Villa. L’immobile svetta sulla colline di Santa Giulia; un pendio incastonato tra Sestri Levante e Portofino. La struttura ha una lunga storia ed uno stile architettonico che esalta il trascorrere di diverse epoche storiche. La decorazione prima dell’intervento di restyling era appesantita da complementi scuri, in stile tardo ottocentesco-eclettico. L’immobile inoltre era completamente scevro di ambienti funzionali essendo stata utilizzata unicamente come residenza di ozio privato.
Nel giugno 2019 quattro hotel del Levante ligure hanno partecipato alla challenge del più acclamato game show televisivo di Sky, sfidando l’eccellenza del proprio business. Il vincitore finale della trasmissione è stato il progetto di interior design realizzato da Forma; Villa Riviera.
